Rifleman
Never allow yourself to be subject to the will of evil-doers. This all began with the fundamentals of the Rifleman. While a handgun is good, a rifle is a much more effective tool for a fight.
Our general curriculum is as follows:
- Firearm safety & storage
- Weapon handling & manipulation
- Minuteman concept & equipment setup
- Zeroing & Minutes of Angle
- Fundamentals of Marksmanship
- Optics & range estimation
- Shooting at angles
- Moving targets
- Target acquisition & order of engagement
- Field positions & barricades
- Wind and external ballistics
- Basic & intermediate tactical shooting drills
- Ranging a target & formulas
- Ballistic charting, holds & data
You will need:
- AN OPEN MIND
- Eye protection & hearing protection
- A handgun with a spare magazine in a sturdy holster
- A fighting rifle (AR-15, AK-47, FAL, M1A, or other magazine fed rifle)
- A sling
- Quality iron sights (optic is optional but strongly recommended)
- 4 spare magazines
- Method to carry magazines (plate carrier, chest rig etc.)
- 700 rounds of quality rifle ammunition
- 100 rounds of quality handgun ammunition
- Sturdy belt
- Handheld flashlight
- Elbow & knee pads optional (but highly recommended)
- Raingear (we shoot rain or shine)
- Sturdy footwear
- Hat and/or sunscreen (optional)
- Water bottle & sack lunch (CamelBak STRONGLY recommended)
- Firearm cleaning kit & lubrication
You will be provided:
- Course syllabus
- Paper & pencil
- Mild refreshments (only in class (day 1))
- US Law shield pamphlet
After registration, you will be emailed a comprehensive document with everything you want to know about the course. Our instructors are ready for more questions if you have them. You will be EXPECTED TO MEMORIZE the four firearm safety rules PRIOR TO ENTERING into class. Failure to do so will result in dismissal from the class (for safety & liability reasons). Refunds will not be permitted for this violation, however you will be permitted to re-attend in future dates.
