Wilderness Survival

So you found yourself lost, stranded, completely alone in the middle of the wilderness with little to no equipment? Nobody knows where you are. Nobody is coming to help you… Your outdoor adventure turned into a deadly situation in a matter of moments.

This course will not turn you into a survivalist, but it just might keep you from an early grave and early funeral if you frequent the outdoors. This is not a game. The course WILL make you uncomfortable.

Our general curriculum is as follows:

- Survival psychology / Controlling panic
- Proper preparation
- Building shelter / site location
- Firecraft - without matches or a lighter…
- Procuring & purifying water
- Basic wilderness first aid
- Signaling for help
- Basic land navigation (including primitive navigation)
- Basic knots & tool making (improvisation)
- Traps & snares
- Improvised fishing
- Fundamentals of hunting
- Wild game field dressing & cooking
- Wild edible plants 101
- Dangerous river crossing
- Emergency rappelling
- Predatory animal defense

You will need:
- AN OPEN MIND
- A sturdy fixed blade knife
- A sturdy backpack suitable in size for equipment
- A tarp
- 100 feet of parachute cord (550 cord)
- Large wool blanket
- Spare clothing (raingear, cold weather clothes, gloves, hat/beanie, neck gaiter & SOCKS) PLEASE CALL US
- Waterproof matches
- Firesteel / ferro rod (call for questions)
- Water bottle (Nalgene recommended)
- Water filter (call for questions)
- 2 freeze dried meals
- Metal cup / compact cooking pan (call for questions)
- First aid kit (including personal prescriptions/call for questions)
- A quality compass (DONT CHEAP OUT)
- Maps of area (call for questions)
- Flashlight (WITH spare batteries.. you will regret not bringing batteries)
- Spare pair of shoes (you will also regret not bringing this)
- Notepad & pen
- Sunscreen

- The best training you’ll ever receive in 4 days
